      Krystle Saulsberry



Krystle Bell Saulsberry was appointed Ms. of America 2020 in July 2020, and she is no stranger to American Pageants. In 2002 at the age of 17, Krystle competed in the Miss Teen of Alabama Pageant in Auburn, Alabama. During that pageant, she received the 17-year-old Achievement Award and Community Service Award. Krystle often credits the Miss Teen of Alabama Pageant as “The Pageant That Changed My Life”.

Born and raised in Roanoke, Alabama, Krystle is a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a double minor in Spanish and Business & Technical Writing. She is a 2011 graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery with a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. She also holds a Certification in Grant Proposal Writing from Fort Hayes State University.
Krystle has over 10 years of experience in association event management, program planning, and experiential marketing. She is a successful experiential marketing professional who has executed over 50 events for brands such as Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Disney, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Nissan, T-Mobile, Geico, and Allstate just to name a few. She is also the AARP Community Programs Instructor for the Birmingham, Alabama market where she teaches and facilities technology, caregiving, job search, and networking classes and workshops for the 50+ population. She also serves as the Grant Writer for the Black Girls RUN! Foundation.

Regardless of her busy schedule, Krystle still finds time to serve as Owner and Founder of Krystle Clear Pageantry. Krystle Clear Pageantry is a web-based platform designed to coach and educate women and girls on how to have a winning mindset, make a good presentation, and develop self-confidence. She is the author of five books: Manifest the Crown: A Krystle Clear Guide to Pageantry Success; Affirm the Queen: 50 Affirmations That Empower Women and Girls for Success; Kingdom Finances: 40 Financial Principles That Empower You to Properly Manage Money; Cash for the Crown: 12 Easy Ways to Pay For Your Pageant Expenses; and Intangible Crowns: Seven Essential Qualities for the Godly Reign. Krystle is also a model and actress and has appeared in Season 2 of the Netflix Original Series Insatiable, Divorce Court, and Tyler Perry’s The Oval.
Her community involvement includes being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, JSU Alumni Association Board of Governors, AUM Alumni Association, and Black Girls RUN! She volunteers with Read Across America for United Way of East Central Alabama. Krystle is a sought-after speaker that speaks on topics such as self-esteem, self-confidence, etiquette, and personal finance.

In 2011, Krystle’s created her platform CODE Yellow: An Alert on Endometriosis. Diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis in 2008, Krystle has made it her mission to educate others about this debilitating disease so women and girls will no longer have to suffer in silence. She has had the opportunity to participate at workshops, panels, and online platforms telling her story about her journey with endometriosis. She has also been successful in getting the State of Alabama to recognize March as National Endometriosis Awareness Month in 2014 and 2017.

Krystle is married to Robert Saulsberry, Jr., and they reside in Oxford, Alabama.
