Young Miss of the Lonestar State Haylee Wilke was crowned as Young Miss of America 2021 on November 29th, 2020. She also won the Service and Achievements in School and Community award at the national pageant. She is the 13-year-old daughter of Ruby Wilke and Charles Bailey from the small town of Brock Texas. Haylee maintains an A honor roll at Brock Junior High where she is in the 8th grade. She currently reads at a 12th-grade reading level and is a member of the impromptu speaking and listening teams. She also enjoys several extra-curricular activities such as cheer, basketball, power tumbling, and choir.
As Young Miss of the Lonestar state, Haylee has been a very involved member of her community helping with trash pickups, food drives, clothing drives, and worked with many nonprofit organizations. As Young Miss of America, she hopes to be more involved and spread more awareness. Haylee is also very passionate about her platform No Kid Hungry. With this platform, she has hosted bake sales and created Loaves of Love where she made bread and other baked goods for families affected by the pandemic. Haylee aspires to be an environmental scientist, but for now, she is enjoying her time as a volunteer.
This year Haylee will get to serve as an inclusion ambassador as American Pageants has a partnership with Special Olympics. Haylee is truly honored to represent American Pageants and all they stand for- recognizing young women for their service and achievements- and is looking forward to more opportunities with her sister queens, serving others, and make more memories as she continues her reign.
